Ltd. is a Vietnamese Company, established in June 97 under the Law on Domestic
Investment. Our Vietnamese Name is "Cty. TNHH Thiet bi Dien tu Vien thong"
(Electronic Telecom Equipment Co.). Originally Opticom was licensed by DGPT (the Vietnamese Telecom Authorities) as a Service Company for (some) Telecom Equipment. And this is still our focus. However, in order to be able to exploit new opportunities, we expanded our business fields in October 98, and Opticom's registration includes now also trading and all kinds of electric and electronic goods. Opticom has meanwhile also the license to import and export those goods. Our staff counts at present 12 full time emloyed people in Hanoi and 4 in our new branch office in HCMC. Yes, we did count the security and the driver. And last, but not least, the maid. Our Managing Director, Mr. Stefan Probst (Dipl. Engineer of TU Munich), has more than 20 years of hands-on experience in electronics of all kind, about 15 years experience on computers (self made, Macs, PCs) more than 9 years experience in Vietnam, and about 7 years of experience in the service for telecom equipment. All technical and administration staff speak English. Everybody has his/her own tasks and responsibilites and is eager and dedicated to give his/her very best. Our principle is to combine the flexibility and the lower cost in a Vietnamese company with the reliability and customer-orientation of a Foreign company. "Not to maximise our equipment sales, but to minimise our customer's hassle and trouble with their equipment, and to help to maximise their effectivity by supplying custom-tailored solutions." This is, what Opticom stands for. This is, why we consider ourselves as a Service, not as a Trading Company. |
